The role
The company is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Finance Engineering Platform team, which builds the internal tools Finance and Accounting use to monitor financial health and investigate reconciliation breaks. You will own the frontend direction of these products.
What you will do
- Own the frontend strategy and architecture for reconciliation and operations products built with React and TypeScript
- Design auditable human-in-the-loop workflows covering validation, approvals, permissions and review history
- Define contracts with backend and API teams so new data capabilities become reliable product features
- Set frontend standards for testing, accessibility, performance, observability and safe rollout
- Work directly with Finance and Accounting users to shape the product and technical roadmap
- Mentor engineers and drive ambiguous, high-impact initiatives
What they ask for
- 8+ years of software engineering, including shipping production web applications with React and TypeScript
- Full-stack capability across frontend and backend services
- Track record leading ambiguous cross-functional projects from design through rollout
- Deep frontend architecture expertise: state management, API integration, performance, accessibility and testing
- Experience with data-rich operational or enterprise products; financial systems or payments is preferred
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
