The role
The company is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer for its Institutional Exchange team, setting architecture for the matching engine, order management, market data and unified trading systems. Remote-first company.
What you will do
- Own technical strategy and architecture for a core Exchange domain
- Lead design of ultra-low-latency, event-sourced trading systems across cloud and colocated environments
- Align technical direction across Exchange, Prime and Derivatives
- Set the quality bar: deterministic testing, failover design and incident leadership
- Contribute hands-on while leading other senior engineers
- Mentor L5-L6 engineers
What they ask for
- 10+ years of software engineering, with ownership of production trading, exchange or market-data systems
- Deep expertise in low-latency distributed systems in Java, C++ or Go, with JVM and Linux tuning
- Architectural ownership of an end-to-end trading platform, not a single component
- Experience influencing multiple teams without direct authority
- Experience running latency-sensitive systems on-prem, colocated and in cloud, including incident command
- Interest in crypto and institutional markets
