The role
The company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Agent Verification team, which builds automated code review, policy checks and merge controls for AI-native development. The work centers on the Unified Merge Gate backend. The company is remote-first with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Lead design and delivery of the Unified Merge Gate, which decides whether a change can merge
- Combine automated review findings, policy and risk checks, CI results and human judgment into one merge decision
- Build backend services and integrations across GitHub, CI and policy systems
- Migrate repositories from legacy controls with safe rollouts and rollback paths
- Partner with Security, Compliance and Infrastructure to turn control requirements into developer workflows
- Measure effects on review volume, time-to-merge and escaped defects
What they ask for
- 7+ years of experience
- Strong backend and distributed-systems skills in Go or a comparable language
- Experience designing APIs, durable state, failure recovery, observability and safe rollouts
- Experience with CI/CD, source-control integrations or other control-plane systems
- Strong security and authorization judgment
- Record of leading a cross-team project from design through migration
- Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted engineering workflows
- Willing to attend quarterly in-person sessions
