The role
The company is hiring a Senior Staff Technical Architect for its Unified Trading platform, owning the core trading systems: order and execution management, algo execution, settlement and multi-venue connectivity. The company is remote-first, with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Own the architecture of the end-to-end trading platform: sequencer, low-latency messaging, OMS/EMS, multi-venue connectivity and execution
- Design low-latency, high-throughput systems for institutional and retail markets
- Own SLOs, observability and incident response for systems where correctness and latency matter
- Set the technical bar through code, design reviews and standards
- Reduce single points of failure and mentor engineers
- Work with Product, Risk, Security and Compliance on the roadmap

- Hands-on architect who has built and supported 24/7 trading systems handling billions of dollars daily
- Extensive backend experience owning complex distributed production systems
- Architected an end-to-end trading platform (OMS, front/middle office, multi-exchange connectivity)
- Deep low-latency Java and messaging such as Aeron or SBE
- Delivered projects end to end, from scoping to iteration
- Experience in regulated or financial environments
- Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight
