The role

The company is hiring a Software Engineer for the CB Node team in its Platform organization, which runs the blockchain nodes behind every asset the company offers, across 55 protocols. The focus is node performance, reliability and cost. The company is remote-first.

What you will do

  • Analyze and optimize performance across the blockchain node stack, finding root causes of resource use
  • Build observability, health checks and automated failover for nodes
  • Right-size the node fleet by profiling workloads and finding over-provisioned instances
  • Work with protocol integration, wallet and indexer teams to extend performance gains
  • Help define SLOs and SLIs for node services
  • Validate new blockchain versions for resource efficiency before production rollout

What they ask for

  • 2+ years in software engineering with exposure to performance analysis, profiling or optimization
  • Experience operating distributed systems and diagnosing resource bottlenecks
  • Backend programming, Go preferred
  • Familiarity with pprof, Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana
  • Record of improving efficiency through engineering rather than adding resources
  • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
  • Blockchain node or crypto infrastructure exposure is a plus

What they offer

  • Equity and bonus eligibility
  • Medical, dental, vision and 401(k)
  • Quarterly in-person team sessions
