The role
The company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Simple Trade Experience team, which runs the buy, sell and convert flows in the the company app and website. The work covers backend and frontend systems for millions of users. The company is remote-first with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Design and deliver high-performance, highly available systems behind consumer trading
- Architect systems that support several trading types and assets, such as spot, limit and recurring orders
- Work with product and design to ship the trading experience across web and mobile
- Scale and maintain production trading infrastructure as traffic and scope grow
- Raise engineering quality through code reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing
What they ask for
- 5+ years of software engineering building and scaling production services at web scale
- Track record with high-availability distributed systems, ideally in trading or finance
- Strong backend skills in Java, Go or similar, plus data stores such as MongoDB or Redis
- Product-minded approach with solid observability and operational practice
- Experience re-architecting legacy systems into newer platforms
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
