The role
The company's IT Tooling team within IT Support & Services is hiring a Senior IT Automation Engineer to own the architecture of the automations behind IT operations such as ticket triage, access reviews and onboarding. The company is remote-first, with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Own the technical architecture of IT automations across n8n, Airflow, Temporal and Jira
- Lead the most complex automation projects from discovery and design to production as technical owner
- Work with Security, Corporate Engineering and IAM teams to resolve technical blockers
- Build shared frameworks, reusable components and architecture documentation
- Set code review practices and engineering standards for the IT Tooling platform
What they ask for
- 5+ years in IT engineering, automation or systems engineering with ownership of architecture decisions
- Deep experience building complex automations with n8n, Airflow, Temporal, Jira Automation or Workato
- Strong Git-based workflow skills: branching, CI/CD and code review
- Working knowledge of Okta, the Slack API and Google Workspace administration
- Ability to turn loosely scoped problems into technical specs and architecture decision records
- Experience mentoring peers and writing design documentation for technical and non-technical readers
