The role
The company is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer, embedded in the Legal organization within the Office of the CTO. You would find workflow automation opportunities in contract review, regulatory filings and governance, and prototype them on the company's AI platform. The company is remote-first.
What you will do
- Embed with Legal leadership to find automation opportunities in contract review, filing drafts and subsidiary governance
- Prototype quickly on the company's existing AI platform before recommending new builds
- Own the Legal automation roadmap and translate legal workflows into engineering requirements
- Define build-versus-buy strategy for Legal tooling
- Keep automated legal outputs traceable and reviewable, with privilege boundaries and human-in-the-loop controls
- Drive adoption through walkthroughs and feedback loops
What they ask for
- 5+ years of software engineering, shipping production systems in ambiguous, stakeholder-heavy settings
- Hands-on experience deploying LLM applications: prompt engineering, evaluation, hallucination guardrails and human-in-the-loop design
- Ability to embed with non-technical experts and turn their workflows into engineering requirements
- Familiarity with legal and compliance systems: contract lifecycle management, regulatory filing workflows, entity governance and privilege-sensitive data
- Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration, including handoffs, escalation and auditability
- Experience in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering or embedded technical advisory work
