The role
The company is hiring a Staff Frontend Engineer for the Advanced Trading team, which builds the trading platform for experienced traders on web and mobile. The role leads front-end strategy and performance. The company is remote-first with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Own the front-end technical roadmap for the company Advanced across web and mobile.
- Improve rendering, network efficiency and state management for a low-latency trading experience.
- Lead complex multi-quarter initiatives and enforce high standards for code quality and system design.
- Mentor senior engineers on the sub-team.
- Work with Product and Engineering leadership to turn business priorities into technical plans.
- Shape front-end practices and conventions that scale with the team.
What they ask for
- 8+ years of software engineering with deep expertise in modern front-end frameworks such as React or React Native, and mobile environments.
- Proven record optimizing complex UI systems for performance.
- Experience leading technical strategy for a product area, including architecture decisions and cross-team alignment.
- Success mentoring senior engineers and raising team standards.
- Familiarity with high-availability, low-latency systems, ideally trading or real-time data applications.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.
