The role
The company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Canvas Core team, which builds the platform behind the company's infinite canvas, editor, real-time collaboration and developer APIs. The work includes performance and AI-enabled editor features.
What you will do
- Own and deliver Canvas platform capabilities from problem definition through release and iteration.
- Build canvas systems with rich document and object models, spatial indexing and asset management.
- Work on real-time collaboration systems covering event ordering, latency and conflict handling.
- Design APIs and service boundaries that internal teams build on.
- Improve performance through profiling and moving expensive work off critical interaction paths.
- Help integrate AI-enabled product features and review code and designs.
What they ask for
- 6+ years building and shipping large-scale production software on an agile team.
- Fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with familiarity in React, Node.js or similar frameworks.
- Experience designing clean API contracts and service boundaries.
- Experience with distributed, concurrent, collaborative or low-latency systems.
- Performance optimization experience: profiling, memory and CPU efficiency, latency reduction.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted tools in engineering work.
