The role
The company, a form and survey builder, is hiring a Staff AI Engineer to shape the technical direction of Research Flow, its AI-moderated research product, and the AI systems behind its other products. The role is fully remote for candidates in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Spain or the Netherlands.
What you will do
- Set the technical direction for Research Flow with Product and Engineering leaders.
- Lead architecture for AI-assisted study design, adaptive conversations and research synthesis.
- Build generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG, vector search and agentic systems.
- Guide ML services and pipelines built on Python, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka and Airflow.
- Define evaluation strategies and release criteria for generative AI features.
- Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across teams.

- Hands-on individual contributor able to lead technical work across several teams.
- Ability to own ambiguous problems from definition through production delivery.
- Work with generative AI, RAG, agentic systems and ML pipelines on Python, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
- Ability to define evaluation approaches for generative AI quality.
- Ability to mentor engineers and make trade-offs explicit.
