The role
The company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its the company Advisor team, which builds an AI advisor inside the the company app that discusses portfolios and executes trades. The role is mostly backend on a full-stack team. The company is remote-first with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Own the backend services behind the company Advisor and Strategies, from design through launch and operation
- Build integrations with the company trading APIs so recommendations and strategies lead to correct, auditable execution
- Develop the agent harness: tool calling, orchestration, persistent state and recovery from failed actions
- Shape agent behavior through prompt engineering, evals and conversation analysis with the registered investment adviser
- Improve reliability, latency, observability and safeguards such as retry behavior and duplicate-action protection
- Work with frontend, product, design, trading infrastructure and legal teams on customer-facing features
What they ask for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering, with deep backend experience running production services
- Strong API design, distributed systems, data modeling, testing and production debugging skills
- Proficiency in Go, or a demonstrated ability to learn it quickly
- Experience building production LLM or agentic systems, including tool calling, orchestration or evaluation
- Ability to take ambiguous projects from zero to production with little oversight
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
