The role
The company is hiring a Full Stack Developer for a US e-commerce retailer running several storefronts on a custom headless stack: Shopify Hydrogen, Algolia, Storyblok and a Django monolith for ERP, PIM and CRM. Remote in the Philippines, Latin America or Eastern Europe, working East Coast hours.
What you will do
- Build and maintain custom Shopify Hydrogen storefronts with React Router
- Migrate legacy frontends (one Liquid, two Django-based) to Hydrogen with data integrity
- Extend Python/Django code powering GraphQL integrations with the PIM, ERP and CRM monolith
- Build custom middleware such as feed generators and Algolia reindexing
- Build CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments to Oxygen or similar edge platforms
- Translate vague business requests into technical approaches and escalate architecture questions to the CTO
What they ask for
- 3+ years building custom e-commerce storefronts with Shopify Hydrogen, React and React Router
- Hands-on experience maintaining Python/Django applications
- Strong understanding of GraphQL and REST integrations between Shopify, ERP, CRM and PIM systems
- Experience migrating legacy apps with minimal disruption
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-hosted deployments
- Strong English, able to explain constraints to non-technical colleagues
- Full-time 40 hours a week on East Coast time
