The role
Thumbtack, a home services marketplace app, is hiring a Senior Brand Manager for the pro (service business) audience, reporting to the Director of Brand Strategy. The role sets pro positioning and brand direction across marketing and the wider company. The posting lists a salary range for Ontario and British Columbia.
What you will do
- Lead rollout of the new brand playbook, including pro positioning and content strategy
- Turn growth opportunities on the pro side into creative briefs for internal and external creative partners
- Own pro brand insights: audience research, creative experiments, competitive analysis and brand health tracking
- Build an integrated content strategy and creative calendar with channel owners
- Build relationships with product, service and sales teams to align on brand vision
- Build prompts, skills and brand review systems for AI-driven content
What they ask for
- 6-8+ years of brand marketing, focused on strategy, positioning and messaging; SMB marketing is a plus
- Experience defining brand promises, positioning frameworks, playbooks and messaging architecture
- Experience setting brand vision and roadmap rather than only managing execution
- Experience running brand health measurement such as tracking, awareness and brand lift
- Strong creative judgment, including writing briefs and guiding agencies and studios
- Experience running creative experimentation programs
- Analytical rigor in research, synthesizing data into recommendations
