The role
Motive is hiring a Senior Security Engineer for device and hardware security on its Product Security team. The role is open remotely in Canada, with a hybrid option in Toronto.
What you will do
- Build the hardware and embedded security baseline, covering boot chain, firmware, FOTA and manufacturing
- Lead hardware security architecture reviews, threat modeling and testing
- Define security requirements for hardware platforms, firmware and device lifecycle
- Work with hardware engineers to prioritize and remediate findings
What they ask for
- 5+ years in hardware security and security-by-design for devices
- 5+ years working with product teams on security designs and requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on development in Python and C/C++
- Experience validating security controls for hardware and low-level architectures
- Knowledge of cloud, runtime, supply chain and application security
