The role
Sanity, maker of an AI content operating system, is hiring a senior site reliability engineer to build and operate its GCP and Kubernetes platform foundations. The role is remote for people in the United States or Canada on Eastern time, with overlap with European engineering hours.
What you will do
- Build and run shared infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes, networking, routing, CI/CD and observability
- Troubleshoot distributed systems under high request volume
- Improve dashboards, alerting, paging standards and incident response
- Build safe rollout paths, readiness checks and deployment automation
- Mentor engineers through code and design review
- Join the on-call rotation
What they ask for
- 5+ years on an SRE on-call rotation
- Experience running scalable, highly available cloud applications
- Kubernetes experience in cloud environments
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with an observability stack such as Prometheus
- Reasonable overlap with European engineering hours
