The role
Airbnb is hiring a backend software engineer for its AirCover insurance platform, building services for coverage, enrollment and regional rules. The role is remote-eligible in US states where Airbnb has a registered entity.
What you will do
- Build backend services and APIs for policy and coverage
- Turn product and regulatory requirements into tested code
- Add experimentation hooks, logging and metrics
- Take part in on-call rotations
What they ask for
- 3+ years of professional software engineering focused on backend services
- Experience with distributed systems in a service-oriented architecture
- Insurance, payments or fintech experience is a plus
- Live in an eligible US state
