The role
Appen, through its CrowdGen community, needs Vietnamese transcription specialists to transcribe audio that supports AI speech recognition. This is a project-based independent contractor role that can be done from anywhere.
What you will do
- Transcribe audio recordings accurately, including pauses, filler words, repetitions and incomplete sentences
- Add timestamps that match the audio
- Identify and label different speakers
- Mark non-speech events such as laughter, background noise or unclear audio
- Apply the project's rules to the provided data
What they ask for
- Excellent knowledge of Vietnamese spelling conventions and fluency in the Vietnam dialect
- Good reading comprehension in English
- Prior experience with transcription and with audio data
- Strong attention to detail
- Stable internet connection
- Access to a PC, laptop or iPad
