The role
Remote Recruitment is hiring a Customer Support Specialist for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa. The role resolves UK customer issues end to end across email, chat and phone, working UK hours of 09:00 to 17:00 UK time (11:00 to 19:00 SAST).
What you will do
- Resolve customer queries across email, chat and phone
- Investigate and escalate complex or technical issues
- Document solutions in the help desk and knowledge base
- Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements
- Meet response-time and satisfaction targets
What they ask for
- Experience in customer support or a service desk role
- Experience with a help desk tool such as Zendesk or Freshdesk
- Excellent written English and a calm, empathetic manner
- Strong problem-solving and ticket prioritisation skills
- Reliable computer, headset and stable fibre connection
- Based in South Africa and available 09:00-17:00 UK time
- Experience supporting UK or international customers and writing help articles are a plus
