The role
Remote Recruitment is hiring a first-line IT helpdesk agent for a UK-based employer. The role is fully remote from South Africa and works UK hours, 09:00 to 17:00 UK time (11:00 to 19:00 SAST).
What you will do
- Log, triage and resolve first-line support tickets
- Reset passwords and manage user accounts
- Set up and troubleshoot laptops, email and software
- Escalate complex issues with clear notes
- Keep knowledge-base articles accurate and current
What they ask for
- Based in South Africa and able to work 09:00 to 17:00 UK time
- Experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role
- Experience with a ticketing tool such as Zendesk or Freshdesk
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows
- Clear written English for explaining fixes simply
- Reliable laptop and stable fibre connection
- Nice to have: CompTIA A+, Google Workspace admin, remote support tools such as TeamViewer
