The role
Coinbase is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer for its CX Intelligence team, which runs the multi-agent platform behind Coinbase chat and the Help Center. You will help build an orchestration layer across vendor and internal AI. Coinbase is remote-first.
What you will do
- Build the orchestration layer for state, context sharing and intent routing across vendor and internal LLM frameworks
- Develop production Python services that connect AI/ML capabilities to customer-facing products
- Drive scoped ML projects from design to delivery
- Contribute to system design and coding standards
- Join design reviews covering security, compliance and performance
What they ask for
- 2+ years of professional experience in machine learning and software engineering
- Experience shipping production ML services
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and tools such as LangGraph, LangSmith, Google ADK, Vertex AI or AWS Bedrock
- Strong Python with clean, well-tested code
- Working knowledge of NLP, information retrieval, computer vision or statistical modeling
- Ability to write technical design documents
