The role
Affirm is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer II to build credit decisioning models that predict default risk and drive approval decisions. The role is remote in Canada, open to residents of AB, BC, MB, NB, NL, NS, ON, PE and SK.
What you will do
- Develop ML models that predict default and drive approval decisions
- Build model training, decisioning and monitoring systems with platform teams
- Prototype new credit decisioning approaches
- Scale data pipelines and features for production models
What they ask for
- 2+ years as a machine learning engineer, or a PhD in a relevant field
- ML experience with GLMs, gradient boosting, deep learning and calibration
- Strong Python and SQL
- Experience with Spark or Ray
- Experience with scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, XGBoost or Kubeflow
- Residence in an eligible Canadian province
