The role
The company is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer on Performance Enablement, part of Platform Enablement. The team is moving from hands-on consulting to self-service performance testing. You would build platforms, tooling and AI-assisted workflows that help engineering teams own their performance testing.
What you will do
- Build reusable backend platforms and tooling for performance testing and analysis
- Create self-service workflows, documentation, templates, diagnostics and AI skills that reduce bespoke support
- Use AI-assisted development practices for implementation, testing, debugging and documentation
- Influence engineering teams to make performance testing part of normal development and release prep
- Turn early hands-on engagements into capabilities many teams can adopt alone
- Give expert help on difficult performance questions and new platform capabilities
What they ask for
- Experience building backend or platform software
- Experience building internal platforms or developer-facing tooling
- Experience working with development teams to improve their workflows
- Experience applying AI across the software lifecycle
- Experience with performance analysis, optimization or benchmarking
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, k6 and AWS, GCP or similar cloud
- Clear writing and ability to influence teams without direct authority
