The role
The company is hiring a Staff Engineer for its People Technology team to build and maintain the automations, agents and integrations behind its People systems, including Workday, Greenhouse and Slack. The role is remote.
What you will do
- Design and maintain people-system automations and integrations across Workato, Google Cloud, Workday, Greenhouse and the company
- Build integrations using Workday Web Services and Slack's API and Bot SDK, and fix failures proactively
- Write and version automation code in Ruby or a comparable language, with code review and change management
- Develop Slack apps and bots for automated workflows for People teams and employees
- Act as subject matter expert on Workato architecture and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the automation code
What they ask for
- Hands-on experience writing code in Ruby or a comparable scripting language such as Python or PHP
- Deep expertise in Workato or a comparable integration platform, running in production
- Strong experience integrating with Workday through Workday Web Services
- Experience building Slack apps with Slack's API and Bot SDK
- Proficiency with Git and the company for version control, code review and CI/CD
- Familiarity with GCP or AWS, plus Docker and Kubernetes
- Comfort using AI tools and MCP frameworks to speed up development
