The role
The company is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for its Identity Verification team, owning the ML models that judge whether a person, document and capture session are legitimate. The company is remote-first.
What you will do
- Own the identity verification ML stack: document authenticity, face match, liveness and deepfake detection
- Build GNN-based identity-graph systems to detect synthetic-identity rings
- Develop behavioral and device-intelligence models for anomaly and bot detection
- Benchmark vendor models against an in-house evaluation set and design routing logic
- Lead and mentor engineers and align with ML Platform and Risk ML teams
What they ask for
- 8+ years deploying production ML systems at scale with cross-team technical leadership
- Domain experience in identity verification, biometrics or account integrity
- Applied ML in at least two of computer vision, GNNs, sequence models or NLP/LLMs
- Expert Python with TensorFlow or PyTorch for training, evaluation and serving
- Ability to turn KYC/AML requirements and fraud trends into ML roadmaps
