The role
CXM Group, a forex and CFD trading firm, is hiring a Senior Network Engineer with an AWS focus to design, secure and run its hybrid cloud network. The posting does not state a location or time zone.
What you will do
- Design and manage network solutions across on-prem and cloud
- Architect secure, scalable AWS networking: VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, NACLs and security groups
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot network issues and outages
- Automate network tasks with scripting and infrastructure as code
- Work with DevOps, Security and Cloud Engineering teams
- Lead network projects, mentor juniors and manage firewalls and load balancers
What they ask for
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering
- Strong grounding in routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP
- Deep knowledge of AWS networking services
- Cloud-native security and connectivity experience
- Network monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, SolarWinds or Nagios
- Scripting in Python or Bash and IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with load balancing (ELB/ALB/NLB)
- Preferred: AWS Advanced Networking certification, hybrid or multi-cloud, SD-WAN
