The role
Reddit is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for its ML Efficiency team, which builds infrastructure and tooling so ML engineers can train, evaluate and serve models efficiently. Remote work from anywhere in the US or Canada.
What you will do
- Design systems that make ML training and inference workloads more efficient
- Build tooling to debug, profile, optimize and monitor model performance
- Improve GPU and resource utilization through scheduling, caching and workload optimization
- Build benchmarking frameworks and performance dashboards for training and serving
- Optimize distributed training infrastructure, data pipelines and model serving
- Lead cross-functional work on ML platform scalability, reliability and cost
What they ask for
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong Python; proficiency in a systems language such as Go, C++, Rust or Java preferred
- Experience building distributed systems at scale
- Experience with ML infrastructure, training systems or model serving
- Strong performance engineering, debugging and profiling skills
- Located in the US or Canada
