The role
Supabase is hiring an experienced Database Support Engineer for its Support team to help developers resolve complex issues on its Postgres platform. The role must be located within APAC time zones; Supabase is fully remote and full-time.
What you will do
- Resolve advanced customer issues across Postgres, Auth, RLS, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions and client libraries.
- Advise advanced users on optimizing workloads and avoiding pitfalls.
- Reproduce bugs, isolate root causes and escalate to engineering with clear reproduction steps.
- Spot patterns across tickets and recommend documentation, tooling and product improvements.
- Mentor junior team members.
What they ask for
- 7+ years in technical support, databases, backend engineering, SRE or similar roles.
- Deep PostgreSQL knowledge, including autovacuum, WAL growth, long transactions and table bloat.
- Strong SQL and query optimization skills.
- Experience troubleshooting multi-tenant schemas and data migration problems (pg_dump/restore, schema drift).
- Hands-on AWS experience and comfort with Linux terminals.
- Located within APAC time zones; full-time.
