The role
Supabase, the Postgres development platform, is hiring a software engineer for its Storage product, working across client libraries, CLI, CDN, the open source storage server and deployment infrastructure. The company is fully remote and hires globally.
What you will do
- Improve the analytics bucket offering and storage of open file formats like Iceberg
- Optimise asset delivery for websites and mobile apps
- Build out the edge network for faster uploads and cache invalidation
- Improve performance, observability and reliability of the storage server
- Improve APIs, client libraries and CLI
- Resolve escalated support issues
What they ask for
- 5+ years of backend engineering running Node.js in production
- Experience with highly scalable, distributed systems
- Comfortable working across the stack, including some infrastructure work
- Production PostgreSQL experience, including tuning and troubleshooting
- Image and video processing tools (sharp, ffmpeg) and frontend experience (Next.js, React) are a plus
