The role
The company's general track for Senior, Staff and Principal engineers in any team. These engineers lead architecture and design of open source software across the stack, from the kernel to cloud. Remote in every time zone.
What you will do
- Lead design and architecture of an open source project
- Write code in Go, Rust, Python, C/C++ or TypeScript/React
- Mentor colleagues and advise on career progression
- Debug issues and write the fixes
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team
What they ask for
- Technical leadership with team motivation, direction and pace
- Deep experience with at least one of Go, Rust, Python or C
- Attention to detail and a focus on performance
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or another STEM subject, or a strong case for an alternative path
- Professional written and spoken English
- Able to travel twice a year for company events of up to two weeks
