The role
ClickUp is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for The Foundry, its internal AI lab inside GTM Systems. You would own MCP servers, agent orchestration and internal tools used daily by hundreds of ClickUp employees across sales, marketing and revenue operations.
What you will do
- Design, build and operate Model Context Protocol servers that expose CRM, ticketing and analytics data to AI agents
- Implement Okta PKCE authentication and RBAC so agents only access authorized data
- Build multi-step agents for GTM workflows such as lead qualification and support triage, with evaluation harnesses
- Deliver internal web apps, CLI tools and Slack integrations on TypeScript/Node.js and React
- Write Python automation and ETL pipelines, and run observability and on-call runbooks
- Review code, set standards and mentor junior engineers
What they ask for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering on production systems
- Expert TypeScript and Node.js
- Strong Python for automation and data pipelines
- AWS deployment experience: Lambda, Bedrock, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway and IAM
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock) and shipping AI features to users
- Solid REST API design, OAuth 2.0/OIDC and credential management
- CI/CD and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK or SAM), with clear written communication
