The role
Sanity, a content operations platform, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for AI Developer Experience. The role builds its MCP server and agentic tools that generate Sanity apps and studios. Candidates should be in the remote US or the San Francisco Bay Area.
What you will do
- Add capabilities, tools and integrations to the Sanity MCP server for AI agents
- Build agentic developer tools that generate Sanity apps, studios and frontend code
- Design and run evaluation suites using Braintrust to catch regressions and guide prompt and model changes
- Build React interfaces on the MCP protocol for platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude
- Apply prompt engineering and ship production AI features in TypeScript
- Work across the stack with design, product and engineering
What they ask for
- Strong TypeScript, React and Node.js skills across frontend and backend
- AI-powered code shipped to production using OpenAI, Anthropic or Vercel AI SDKs
- Active use of MCP in daily workflow, building one is a bonus
- Knowledge of current AI models and developer tools
- Strong prompt intuition for diagnosing hallucination or ignored instructions
- Clear communication with designers and product managers
- Based in the remote US, or the San Francisco Bay Area with at least 2 days a week in the office
