The role
Supabase is hiring a Software Engineer for its Auth product, a Go server with TypeScript client libraries. You will build and maintain authentication features including OAuth, OIDC and SAML. The company is fully remote and hires globally.
What you will do
- Design secure, scalable authentication features in Go and TypeScript
- Work from server protocols to client libraries for frameworks like Next.js
- Own performance, reliability and scalability of the Auth server
- Evolve Auth architecture, including OAuth, OIDC and SAML support
- Run safe database migrations across a large fleet of Postgres instances
- Build metrics, tracing, alerting and dashboards
What they ask for
- 4+ years shipping Go in production
- 2+ years working on an authentication system
- Strong relational database experience, Postgres or MySQL
- Strong TypeScript
- Knowledge of web fundamentals: cookies, sessions, JWT and HTTP
- Understanding of authentication security and cryptography basics
- Good technical writing for the RFC process
